November/December/January First Friday Artist

Opening November 1 at 5:00-7:30 pm at the Downtown Dance Collective

In collaboration with the Downtown Dance Collective, the Missoula Urban Indian Health Center is hosting the first annual Indigenous Art Market! This market is 100% Native-led — from event organizing to vendor participation.

Stop by to browse and purchase all kinds of Indigenous art, including canvas paintings, beadwork, leatherwork, and more. If you can’t join us on our inaugural event on November 1st, don’t worry — the Indigenous Art Market will return on First Friday in December!

History and Purpose:

“The place where Native American art and culture meets the world… Our commitment is emerging Native American artists while always honoring those who have come before and paved the way.”

Mission statement:

“Bringing Native arts to the world by inspiring artistic excellence, fostering education, and creating meaningful partnerships.”

Missoula Indian Art Market is teaming up with local organizations and Missoula Urban Indian Health Center

This 3-month collaboration supports Native American leadership and strengthens the health and well-being of the Urban Indian Community. This collaboration will also create a stable and welcoming environment to artists and community members on the subject of contemporary Native arts of Montana, while preserving our local Missoula ambiance.
