A benefit to support the Downtown Dance Collective

February 24th, 2018, nine local celebrities and nine local dance professionals teamed up to perform a choreographed dance. They showcased their new-found dance moves at Dancing With The Missoula Stars and, at the end of the evening, the team who fundraises the most takes home the coveted mirror ball trophy!
DDC offers a wide aviary of programs to make the performing arts accessible to all. We host Community Classes that are free to the public, reaching hundreds of participants a year. Our First Friday series provides fledgling and established artists a beautiful location in the heART of Downtown Missoula to showcase their work. In 2011, the DDC founded AiR Project (Artist in Residence), that, since its inception, has provided over $30,000 in space for artists to create, collaborate, develop, and perform original work. Our weekly schedule has Dance Fitness, Technique, and Social Dance classes where our adult participants make new friends, build lasting connections, and learn new skills. Our weekly classes allow us to showcase the gifted and unique talent we have within the Missoula Community of dancing professionals; artists who are dedicated to sharing their love and growing their respective dance styles awareness and participation. We've recently expanded our DDC Kids Program, where the emphasis is not on competition or performance, but rather self-confidence, body awareness, cultural education, and empathy. Dancing With The Missoula Stars supports all of this work and so much more!
